2 Piece Hybrid Longbows?
« on: September 23, 2010, 04:26:00 AM »
Hi,

i am looking for a new bow, or at least something to save money for   ;) .
Who makes 2 Piece longbows with modern Hybrid designs? I know only of BigJims, and must say the Thunderstick looks as good as they come, but i want to look around some more.
Also, the Thunderstick is only 54", i thhink that wont be good for my 30"draw.

So, any recommendations?
Regards Axel

centaur and whisperstik make them with the connexion hinge, a take down system I really like.

Dan makes incredibly quiet and fast bows, no hand shock!!  Excellent bow.

Here is my new whip.  I never posted pics of it before, but I love this bow.  It is very easy to take down, but is rock solid when together.  I have a 29.5 inch draw.  Don't know if this is "hybrid" enough, but to me it has enough r/d to be hybrid.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
