I am newly back in traditional bowhunting due to a shoulder injury about 14 years ago that kept me from being able to draw my 60 # recurve without pain. Some family issues had prevented me from getting a lighter bow for some time. I was able to get one around last Christmas and wanted to hunt this fall. This last saturday, I took a whitetail doe with my recurve. I had hoped for a buck , but had limited time to hunt this month (our Washington seasons are short compared to many states). She ran 50 yards and was down. I couldn't believe how great it felt to be a traditional bowhunter again. I really enjoy reading on this site. I hope to have the chance to meet some of you, and even maybe hunt with some of you in the future. Have fun out there this fall.
