First buck sign this year
« on: September 26, 2010, 09:50:00 AM »
I got out yesterday here in NY to do some squirrel hunting and found this tree rub just outside a stand of red oaks. It is vary close to where I set a stand every year. It got my blood pumping, our season starts in about three more weeks.

Going back today for the squirrels and to set a stand. I got three shots yesterday maybe today I will finally hit one. Good luck to everyone this season!

Hooper,

Funny thing, I'm sitting here eating pretzels with "Nunda Mustard" on them . Anyway the bucks seem to be real active already. I saw a nice one get hit in the road by the house last night and a 1 1/2 year old get hit earlier in the week. Talked to the guy logging our land last week in Steuben county said he saw a buck mount a doe when he was cutting his corn on Monday! I can'tr wait to hit the woods heading up to the mountains next weekend for Northern Zone hunting ! Good Luck this year.
