Treestand Camo Cover/Blind
« on: September 28, 2010, 04:46:00 PM »
So...I have this old Cabela's "Jake" camo ground blind that I haven't used in years.  Then I started thinking (I know, dangerous) how well would it fit around my treestand?  Here's what I did:

Here's the folded up blind.  It's no bigger than a paper plate.

Here it is opened.

This is my treestand.

Attach the bottom of the blind with bungee cords.

Wrap it around the stand and attach top with bungee cords.

TADA...instant treestand blind.

Whatcha think?  And the first one that says it has to be higher I'm gonna slap!

Great idea, have you tried to shoot out of it yet?

Never seen a need to camo treestand (unless you are trying to deter thieves). I usually set them at 18 - 22 feet to the bottom. Have had deer rub on my tree sticks and then walk away. Don

I, like a lot of trad shooters, like to be around 15 feet up(and sometimes less) so as to get a better low angle shot at deer.

I think your camo shield will work well.

I think the biggest benefit will be keeping those cold breezes off of half of you.
