My oldest daughter's bo travels in his work. He's always searching craigslist. He found a recurve in a nearby town. Chief AJ takedown in 50#. Go it for $60.
He had to bring it and show me. We got it cleaned up and put a new rug on it. I had some cruddy arrows not spined right, but he had to shoot it.
I think another one is hooked on trad.
I had to turn on the light so he could keep shooting.

Yep, he's Hooked now! Shootin' in the dark is a sure sign that the young man has "Swallowed the Trad Hook"! Teach him well, so when they are considering what bow to buy you for Christmas, they'll make the right choice. Lol! Good stuff, well done.

How cool is this? Way!!! I'm saying....
Nice that he has a wonderful guy to lead him by example!
Thanks for representing us so awesomely.
You can tighten up his skills if you'll turn out the light and place a candle on a stick over an arrows length from your back stop. Then tell him it only counts if he snuffs the flame(candle hits do NOT count)..lol
Then rewards really pay off the next time you shoot in the daylight.
God bless,Mudd

I was trying to teach him some basic basics. He's never shot a bow before. Period. Not bad at 10 yards. He's eager to learn. I'll try to get him set up with some correct arrows. One step at a time....
