Filson Mackinaw Wool Pants?

Just got back from Northern Ontario (there can't be a better clothing for there than wool...).
The ol' military surplus wool pants need some fresh troops backing them up...anybody have experience with the Filson mackinaw wool pants?

I bought some gray mack pants last year super gualtiy a bit thicker than the standard pants. I had to custom order since they are not offered in gray. The thickness is 26oz instead of the 24oz (something like that). Super strong as with all Filson products.

Very high quality, I hear that their warranty is not what it used to be but they are very good pant. I like Sleeping Indian as it is a little more comfortable for me. I also get some light weight wool dress pants from goodwill. Can be pretty easy to find, though I haven't shopped for wool in a long time.

If you cam afford them, buy them you won't regret it. Ohio can get pretty chilly. I wear them all the time one it gets frosty around here and they will serve well in canada too.

Mine are a few years old, but still excellent. They are heirloom quality in my view. My only problem is I have the pair with the side pockets, but the pockets don't hold much. Just get the regular pair and you'll be happy. Super warm.

I still have a pair from the early 1990's that I bought from Screaming Eagle when the Brunner's owned it. Grey and black check. They are still in rock solid shape, I love 'em.

Filson wool is as good as it gets, in my opinion. I have the wool bibs, almost cant wear them they are so warm. It needs to be below 20 degrees, and I need to be not moving to wear them comfortably. I'm thinking of ordering the pants.
I got some from LLBean a couple years ago, they were not good.

I have worn them for about 4 seasons now and love them. I am actually planning on buying another pair this year to have 2 on hand.

Couldn't find the quality surplus pants that I used in the past that were the right sizes, finally got a pair of Filson pants. Don't hunt in them but do lots of other winter activities in them, top notch, will last a very long time....

Their wool bibs are awesome. You will appreciate the "kidney coverage" when it gets cold.

Can't beat a pair of quality wool pants in cold weather. They don't get any better than Filson. My LL Bean woolies are 40 yrs old and still warm as a camels butt...PR
