« on: May 21, 2007, 08:14:00 PM »
Anyone remember what a Microflite #9 would spine at or what weight weight bow they would work from?

It depends on what year they were made. '70 and before would spine 65-70# @ 28".'71 and later would spine 50-55# @ 28". Add or subtract 5# per inch from those figures. Hap

The #9's varied in spine.  Some spined more than #10's.  Some #10's spined the same as #8's.  The yellow ones were the best and had the most consistant spine.  Yellow #9's at 28" would shoot from 50 to 55# recurves.  The dark green ones were anyones guess  :bigsmyl:  ...Van

Thanks everyone. They are the yellow ones. Should work out of my 55# Brack Quest. They are currently 32" from nock groove to back of insert.

You got the good ones, however at 32" they might be weak.  It's a pain cutting them off.  You gotta be careful.  Good luck...Van

Well, heck, oh well I could probly sell them or trade them if I cannot cut them, I have a small arrow cut off saw that should work ok though, if I remember right I cut some #11 down a bit using it and it worked pretty well. Figure I will cut them down to 29" and they should work. I will just do one first to see how it flys before I go and cut them all down.

You need heavier spined ones?
