Brett you sold me the best bow i ever owned. I am still in your debt for that. That was until i got a PCH its smooth, fast, drives tacks and is the quietest widow i have ever had. You won't be sorry. TD.

I know the answer to this one!  Go ahead and buy the Widow, then whichever 6 of the 7 bows you decide not to shoot, you can pack up and send to me.  I'l even do you a favor and cover half the shipping for ya.   :biglaugh:

Sorry under-privilidge country, sorry to get off topic, but we have enough here in our country don't send it elsewhere!!!! Now I say take the 1100 or so and buy 2 bows from a number of other bowyers, like RER who start at about $550 and their Arroyo is very similar to the widow you want and performs better as well. Nothing wrong with Widows but as I said, 2 for 1. Shawn

I have shot all the BW bows and had a couple PSA's.  I don’t like the sound of them with the stock string. I have found the  PCH to be the best all around package for me.  It was also the quietest BW recurve I have shot when set up right.  I had a PCH with some kind of FF string about 8 strands.  Could have been a 450 or D-97, not sure as it came with the bow.  I tried a SBD and that didn't seem as quiet to me.  Whatever that string was, with a about a 4" strip of  cat whiskers torn in half to make two 4” strips and one each end of the bow at about 1/3 points it was hunting quiet.  I have had some other popular recurves that were no quieter than that PCH.

Shawn-I have seriously considered the Arroyo, and almost bought one a few months back.  I guess I'm just set on getting a Widow.

Right now I'm trying to buy a used MAX from 2006 that is 62 inches long.  I've read that G.Fred article "The Case for the Longer Bow" one too many times, I guess.

I have two widows -- a sa and a pch. I also have a great plains swift and a k-mag. I do not find the widows to be noier than the other bows I own or the bows of other shooters at the range. For me the SA has been a little more forgiving, but that maybe because I have been shooting it for a long time. The PCH however is a very sweet bow. At 54 inches it has very little vibrationn and is quieter than the SA. I like both of them very much.

You should buy 2..

So I can feel better about myself and all the bows I bought over my 18 months of being a Trad junkie.  :bigsmyl:

I traded a Trad Ganger for a PCHX just a couple months ago. I already had a PSAIII and a PAX.  I like the PCHX better than the PSAIII but the PAX more than the PCHX. All 3 are great bows with super feeling grips and dead-in-the-hand shooters. Noise isn't an issue with any of them for me. With my eyes shut I'm not sure I could tell the differenc shooting any of these 3 -- they are all three within 2-3 #'s of draw weight, LH and 58" long.

I was surprised how much more I like the one-piece (PAX) than the TDs.
