Your opinion please.

Over the years among other bows I have made some take down recurve bows. I have always used fixed brass bushings in the limb holes, see photo.
Of course it cost a little more and is more work, but I have considered it to be a good thing.
I see that very few bowyers do this, they just drill holes in the limb butts and leave it like that. Now I wonder if what I do is just an overkill and is not really necessary. Could you give me your opinion on this matter? Thank you. Bue--.

What ever works well is not overkill in my opnion. Under achivement is what hurts folks.

Just because it's different doesn't mean it isn't right.Seems like what you're doing is better than "normal"!

I agree with everything said already---it isn't "overkill"! And as a woodworker myself, I appreciate it when someone makes an extra effort with details. Keep it up.

I am Old School and if it takes more time for Quality not Quantity then I'm for it...Besides this is 100% true alignment of the limbs mating to the riser ...I know limb bolts do center themselves with the alignment pins and the female inserts but this is an extra notch above what others do and I like the looks of it...
