Is the hickory or the red elm the veneer? Very cool looking grain. Reminds me a lot of the "Medicine Wood" limbs on a Dale Dye.

Red Elm limbs and Hickory riser.The Hickory Riser is impregnated with something to stabilize the wood gives it good mass weight.

Nice bow, I think I have about 5 of those. They are great shooting bows for sure.
