New Longbow grip
«

Shawn Rackley & myself put a new grip on his Shelton. It's stingray skin. It was just the right weight. The beads remind me of the kind that come on some gloves. They have a very good feel, your hand doesn't slip but, it's not the least bit rough. Tough stuff. It was kind of hard to cut. I think it will be very durable.

DannyBows, Shawn had a friend pick it up for him at a leather shop in Springfield, Mo. I'll try to find the name of the place. Said it was $15. There's enough to do two grips but, there's only one white design in the center.

Looks good!! How well does it conform to the shape of the grip, i.e., a locator, pistol, etc? You can soak leather and it is pliable- stingray skin, water probably does nothing.

I was just looking around for the skins and found that they print designs on them, same as leather. They make wallets from the printed skins so it must be durable. I guess I'll have to try one and find out. Looks like it might also make a nice saddle for recurve grips, don't know how supple it is. I have a Tiger Maple Pronghorn that the Tiger print one would really look cool on. The Pronghorn has a fairly straight grip too.
This would look good on a Widow.
