Bow Racks
« on: October 20, 2010, 01:49:00 AM »
With a number of bows now in the collection, it has become an issue to store all these beauties. Can I get some help from the gang and maybe get some pics of what you guys use? My searches came up a bit empty IMO. Thanks!

It'll take some time but go thru the pages on pow wow. Start at the very last and go to the earliest. There still might be the topic of this. There were a lot of picts of bow racks. Maybe someone will post a link to it. My search engine doesn't work or I'd do it for you. Sorry.

Bad photo but great bow rack made by Kevin Winkler.
I won it on the St. Judes Auction

If I can make one, anyone can.  I have no wood-working or carpentry experience, but managed to make my first one yesterday:

The arrow rack holes are a little off, and the arrow rack itself should be a bit lower since it makes it more difficult to place and remove them where it's at.  Also, some of the bow pegs tilt slightly downward due to my poor hole-drilling skills, but so far so good.

Take a look at Ron LaClair's shop he has them hanging from pegs along the wall verticle.I do the same thing and use my arrow cut-offs and add a nock on to give it a trad feel.   } } } } } } }

Here is one of "Doctari's" bow racks that I purchased off him a couple years ago. Very well made and looks nice too.

Here's one I made for myself earlier this year.  I still need to finish it and hang it somewhere.
