Western PA coaches?
« on: October 20, 2010, 09:08:00 AM »
Hey guys, I really like trad archery and would like to hunt tha way.  Unfortunately my accuracy just isn't what I want it to be.  Are there any trad archery coaches in western PA?  I think I need someone to critique my form, make sure my bow is set up correctly, etc...  I'd like to think a few hours with someone who knows what they're doing would benefit me greatly.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks, Sam

I know Mike Fedora is in PA. He does give lessons. You can reach out to him and set up an appointment. By the way, he is excellent!

Mike would be great, unfortunately he is about 3 hours from me.  I will give him a call, I was just hoping there might be somebody within an hour of me so I could make multiple trips.  Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming.

We have a nice outdoor 24 target hunting course in Butler, PA.

We have about 30 trad guys show up every tuesday night, along with another 70 or so compound guys.

It is a Bowhunters Club, so if your main goal to to practice hunting shots and talk hunting with other members, this is the club for you.

Unfortunately, with it being a hunting club, you can imagine that it is pretty much a ghost town this time of year. We shoot from early spring right up to hunting season.

PM me for some more info if you're intersted. No club like it around!

cpnhgnlngct, thanks I'll send you a pm.  Chas, thanks for the offer, I'd love to come shooting with you again, it's just hard with our schedules.  We'll get together one of these days and go shooting.  Hope your hunting season is going well.  Talk to you soon.

Hey Sam, haven't heard from you in awhile. I am by no means a shooting coach or a great shot, but if you would like to get together and shoot sometime let me know. I can help you as much as I can. Also, I have several shooting vides(Masters of the Bare Bow and Rick Welch) that you are more than welcome to borrow.

Aaron
