Smoke update

A while back I wrote asking for opinions on smoking hunting clothes as a cover scent. I have smoked all my hunting clothes and keep them in a sealed tote and so far I'm amazed! on at least 5 trips to the tree stand I've had deer around me and right under me - swirling winds, no wind and winds blowind toward the deer and I have not been busted! I know I could get busted but now I don't worry about the wind and I'm not blowing money on a bunch of trendy scent elimination garbage. The only thing is that unless you get a shower after hunting you'll smell like a smoked ham all day :D

Just use a camp fire. I have three 10 foot saplings cut & tied to for a tee pee frame, set it over the fire and put a tarp around it, hang clothes inside just be careful to keep the fire a low smoking one. I smoke them for several hours and they hold the smell for at least a couple weeks if you put them an a bag or tote when done hunting.
