My ghillie experience
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:06:00 AM »
This year I have been experimenting with a ghillie suit. The results so far have been positive.
I have hunted from a treestand and on the ground. In both cases I had deer look right at me without showing any alarm.

I had mutiple opportunities for shots but have not taken one yet.

The only negative is they do hang up on just about everything, and the smell of them is pretty strong altho that is much weaker now.

I just got back from a week long hunt.  Wore the Ghillie all but the last day.  Didn't have any real tests for the Ghillie, but it did catch every limb, twig, and burr it could find.  After each hunt I would spend close to an hour pullin' junk off of it. :banghead:

If I would've had the Ghillie on I would be praising how well it worked.  But the Predator camo seemed to do well as always.  Still the main factor seems to be...don't move.  I love huntin' from the ground.  :archer2:
