Pics of one of my favorite spots....
« on: October 24, 2010, 08:43:00 PM »
Piddling with the camera during a lull the other morning. Have seen two nice bucks from this spot, one a real nice 9pt. I saw him off the field edge and he traveled across part of the field, then entered the thicket about 40 or so yards behind me, thought I might get a shot for a second or two. This spot has always been a good funnel or travel corridor. Field off one side with a big cedar thicket that connects to the field, and parallels behind me with mixed hardwoods, oaks, hickorys, etc. Have had good luck here over the years. I have been fortunate enough to hunt this spot to myself since 88', about 132 acres. Thought I would share pics of one of my favorite spots along with a masked mug shot of yours truly. Hope to have a hero shot added soon......

I hunt a spot in AR that has some of the same charastics as your first pic.  It is a great staging area for deer.  VERY productive.
