Do you know anyone with a tracking dog? I've seen it work here in NC but with deer dogs on a leash/lead. But it was soon after the shot. Not a day or two.

My cousin shot one a few years ago and lodged the broadhead in its spine. Two weeks later, he shot what appeared to be a perfectly healthy doe. When he skinned her out, he found his broadhead! It had already healed over. They are certainly tough! You may just get another shot at him.

Look up at broken branches and not just on the ground. They will move funny when hurt and break a lot with the rack. also, blood can be on higher brush and branches.
