TWO TRACKS VEST
« on: October 30, 2010, 03:07:00 PM »
Thought I'd post pictures of my new Two Tracks Vest.  Chuck and Chris did an outstanding job on this one!!  I vaguely described to Chuck what I wanted and he took it from there.  It's perfect for my needs.  The colors blend and create a pattern that looks like it's woven.  The high collar and long length, will be nice assetts when it gets colder (I don't really need it yet at upper 50's/low 60's).  My wife says "the people who made your vest are very talented, you don't see work like that much anymore."  I would have to go a little further and call them "true artisans".

That's an awesome vest! The pattern is sweet, and that high collar is just the ticket. I can't stand freezing wind blowing on the back of my neck. I'll have to start planning mine for next winter.

Chris told me it is felted, a layering process as opposed to weaving.  It looks like it would be windproff, about 1/4" thick and very warm.  Hopefully, Chuck will chime in soon and give you a better answer.

Looks like a quality product. Really like the tall collar. I hate wind on my neck.

Nice, I have always liked a vest.

What is the price on a vest like that?

Looks great Phil. Are you still shooting that Bushwacker? My vest should be done soon. Had frost here this morning. Would've been nice for a long morning stand.

Yes, Mike, I have been shooting my Bushwacker, but not at much that was edible!!  I've passed on a couple of smaller bucks and shot once where a doe was. But, I have shot at lots of leaves and stumps.

Found it!
That looks great on you Phil.Yes the vest is felted and nothing on it is woven, Each color you see is a different, natural color of wool from a different sheep. No dyes or stains used at all. We lay up the camo pattern by hand with the various colors of 100% natural wool.Grown out back. Thanks for posting the pics Phil it looks great. Mike and Mike are next up and should be done this week. I have a picture to post for IRISH but that may have to wait till after dark.
