What is the length of your bow, and what is your draw length? Is your new bow shorter than your previous one? A shorter bow will cause more fingerpinch.
I have a long draw (32.5 in.) but I shoot a 64" recurve. No problem with fingerpinch and I use a tab.

Some people are more sensitive to finger pinch than others. I draw a little over 30" and can't comfortably shoot a bow under 60" for any length of time. My preference is 64" bows.
What lengths are your old and new bow?

My draw length is 26". I couldn't pinch my fingers with a pair of pliers!

Serve in a double nock point and that should help.

I have fat fingers so I have been fooling around shooting just two fingers, index and third, under. It works quite well.

I have a 30" draw (30-1/2" BOP) and I find the bows with high risers tend to pinch more than a bow of the same AMO length but with fully working limbs. If you watch other shooters you will see some recurves open out at the tips, relieving the pinch angle, while others stay more static. So, IMHO, it is as much a function of design as it is bow length. A 58" Martin Mamba of 50 lbs kills my fingers while a 58" Bear Grizzly of 50 lbs does not.

I pull a 54" recurve to 30 1/2" and shoot with two fingers under (the middle and ring fingers). I just let the index finger lay next to the arrow.
