You betcha. Git-R-Donearchery.com.
Dennis has probably forgot more about traditional archery than most people know. He was telling me that at one point he had 30 000 feathers in stock.
He is manyletters on here. Believe me it will seem to you that Christmas has come early. I sat in Dennis' basement in Calgary a while back and shot so many different bows I cannot begin to tell you how many. My favourite was the Adcock, but at $1200 I could pretty close to buy a dozen of the old Bear Polars I like. You wanna see a virtually unused Grumley, that is your spot.

Traditional archery is alive and well in Canada. I live in a town of 500 and know of two archers who shoot Kempf bows here. The only reason I do not have one is that I was too stupid to have ordered one 15 years ago when my friends were buying them. I now own and shoot 4 recurves and have a long bow and a recurve still in the mail. I also have a Chek-Mate Hunter III on order and am working on getting a Beaver Creek blank.

Bet you have some good hunting stories to tell. Get on the Alberta Traditional Bowhunters on here and tell us some. We could make you an honorary Albertan if it would make you feel more comfortable.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I was going to ask what "non legitimus carborundum est" means, but it was way more fun to google it.

That would make a really great tattoo.

DDave

Just took another look at your avatar, is that what it looks like it is?

A very similar thing happened with me and a hunting partner last Friday.

He was busy concentrating on the mulies in front of him and totally missed seeing the one that I pushed out to the open trail he was standing on.
Course he would likely have shot his truck with a miss or pass through.

He took a shot at one in the bush with his very fast compound and learned that very fast deflects off saplings just like very slow does.

We have mule deer in our yard where I live too. Thought about shooting one more than once.

I was down a Dennis's place yesterday and Ben fletched a couple of arrows for my compound with pretty pink shield cuts. The compound is just for a back up in case I need to follow up on one that has been hit poorly. Nice to be able to take a longer shot in those circumstances. Oh and the fact that I really want to shoot a goose with a bow. Gonna try some dullish 160 grain Thunderheads for that.
