Please show me your short ILF bows
« on: November 03, 2010, 02:32:00 PM »
Thinking about buying a short riser (13"-15") ILF bow. Looking at both metal and wood (though I prefer wood). Morrison, Sky/Belcher...........possibly even a non ILF Das/Dalaa with ILF conversion bushings ?

I will be going with long bow limbs. Morrisons A limbs seem to be a good choice for my short 25.5" DL ?

Please show me yours and give me your thoughts.

Thanks,
fz

Couple things to consider Chad.

1.  The Dalaa doesn't come shorter than 17", and not at all in wood.

2.  Sky Makes a 15" riser, but not in wood.

3.  The only two wood risers (that I know of) that would fall in your length category would be Morrison and TradTech.

The way I see it, you probably won't get much prettier than the Morrison...

And you probably won't find a better value than the Tradtech.

I recently acquired a Dymalux 15" Morrison.  Even with the inexpensive limbs I'm using for the time being, it is a very, very nice bow.  Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I'm listening carefully here as I am also a short draw at 25.5" and am nearly ready to take the leap to a good custom longbow or recurve. Now I have some idea of where to start looking as a wood riser is what I would be looking at.
Thanks guys.

Dryad also makes a wood 15" ILF riser.
