INDIANA hunters...Whatcha seeing?
« on: November 03, 2010, 10:34:00 PM »
It's been a pretty slow deer season for me so far.  I have only seen ONE buck in about 25 sits!

I am taking vacation November 6th through the 21st.   Things have to start heating up in the deer woods soon.

Just wondered what my fellow Hoosiers are seeing.

Seeing a lot of scrapes, rubs and small bucks chasing does.  We've got at least four different bucks running through the 27 acres we hunt (it is part of a bigger woods though). None of the bucks on our trail cams or that we've seen are bigger than a really wide little 6 point.

Have only been able to get out a few times but have seen small bucks chasing. I'm gonna start hitting it hard this weekend. Weather looks good. Good luck!

I killed a 136" 8pt on Halloween. He was the 32nd deer I saw that evening. I saw 10 bucks that day, I killed the 2nd biggest buck I saw. I saw a 180"+ deer twice that day. My buddy killed a 167 " the same day. I haven't been out since, but I just saw a 150 in my dad's yard about 20 minutes ago. I only hunted 3 days this year, but I saw 58 deer, 13 different bucks.

stevewills, a guy at work shot a buck that will go 145 or 150 over the weekend.  You're not up by Columbia City I hope.  LOL!

Seen a few does here and there. Seen three different bucks this morning. A young 8, a 3 and a bruiser that is probably 8 or 10 maybe more and may go 170" or better. No shots except on the 3 pointer and I let him walk.

sure am glad I did after seeing that big boy.
