Feedback on one piece A&H acs longbow

Guys, I'm currently shooting a cari bow wolverine longbow 52lbs at 28 inches draw and really like it. But looking for something around 60# to go moose hunting. I'm thinking about getting an acs one piece. For the guys who own them or have shot them please give me your opinion on them.

My brother had one, and my neighbor now owns it, I have shot it a lot, great bows. Very quick and stable.

I am not sure ths is going to help, but you will look a long time to find a bow that will out perform that Wolverine. Abe builds a fine and fast stick bow.

I have shot a 2 piece at git-r-done. It is one very impressive bow. Very fast, no hand shock and very quiet. I think that one is under 50 pounds though.

What is this thing we have with listing our location as Canada. Can you imagine an American listing their location as the good old USA.

I just bought a Centaur Chimera from Dennis and it is pretty similar to the acs in performance for less money.

Have you checked out the A&H Archery website. You can buy a 54 pounder from stock for 1040 plus shipping. Guarantee you that bow will kill any moose that ever walked.

   Bill Strikland has a one piece for sale on this site right now and for a good price. I know Bill personally and you can trust his word. He speaks very highly of the ACS one piece. I have shot both the one and the three piece and they are highly shootable and high performance. Give Bill a shout you will not go wrong. tm

I was going to shell out 1350 for a Hoyt Carbon Matrix, but thanks to you I bought an Adcock takedown this morning for less money.

Did I mention how much I love tradgang?

With a username like that you should be looking for a Jack Kempf Kwyk Styk. You should be able to contact him through Sherwood Park Archery.

Try to find a bad word about a Kempf bow on here and you will search long and hard.

I am one of the very lucky ones to have an OL Adcock one pc.  My friends and I think it may be the best shooter out of the "few"    bows I have.  It is the same limb design as A&H. Just a perfect bow in every aspect. It is a little light for hunting elk but when you get a chance at one from OL. can't be picky.  Send us a report and pictures when she comes in.

I would get another Wolverine...nothing against A & H..(i've owned several of their takedowns & a couple of the Adcocks one piece and i have a Wolverine).  The Wolverine and the A & H's have comparable performance numbers and you wouldn't have to get used to a different grip. Unless you just want to try a different bow that is!

Guys, I really thank you for the feedback.Keep it coming. I'm going on this site to look for one and also call A&H archery to see on how long of a wait it is. For me the hard part is to figure out what kind of bow to get with so many good ones out there and not being able to try them out.You guys are a good help. I use to shoot recurve the "kwick Stick" my favorite.But I bought a cari-bow longbow and man I got hooked on shooting it. I just don't feel comfortable going after moose with a 52# longbow when I know I can handle 60#. Thanks again guys and when I get my new bow, I'll post some pictures.

I can't make up my mind. Another Wolverine or ACS. Really like my wolverine.I'm probably going to think about it for a couple more days before making my mind up.

I have a 1 pc ACS 64" it is right at the top with one or two others. All that sets those top bows apart is personal likes and dislikes.

Just had a big talk with Al Penner on the phone this morning. You are looking at a 7 month wait to get a bow from him unless he has what you want in stock.

I was lucky and talked to Larry at A&H this morning as well.

Does not take me long to know a straight up guy on the phone and these guys are the best of the best.

You are certainly looking in the right vicinity. Check with Dennis at git-r-done.com before you make up your mind. I have shot the takedown ACS at his house in cowtown and I am just not sure about the draw weight on it. I know the price is a flat 1200 tax in. It is lightning quick at my 30 inch draw length.

I bought an in stock bow from A&H with no waiting. They have lots of limbs available for the takedowns and on November 24,25 and 26 they will knock 15% off their prices. That is a lot off a 1200 dollar bow. My limbs are some special order ones with snakeskin overlays that were custom ordered and then not taken. They are only 41 pounds, but out of that bow I would not hesitate to shoot a moose with heavy arrows.
