well I have out grew my api bowhunter climbing stand which was a great stand, but I have gotten older and fatter now..lol its hard to lift 260 lbs up a tree. I was looking at the summit goliath and wanting to know if those stands were longbow friendly?? I was a little worried about the bar that surrounds you if it was going to be in the way of shooting a 60" longbow

I think Biggie is the resident expert on "big man" treestands around here. He'll probably be along after a bit to help out.

I'm 6'4"... 280#... had the Summit Goliath, but sold it... went to the Summit Titan. Lots of leg room! Solid. I've used a 64" recurve and longbow, and also a 66" longbow... no problems with how I shoot (but, with my arms... I reach out just a bit).

I have the goliath its a great stand, but it can be a little tight if you have alot of clothes on I would go with the new stand the titan or the 180 max

My lone wolf is rated for either 300 or 350lbs. No bars to deal with and if you use a sit and climb strap its easy to climb with. API makes a big man version of their stand. My 4xl brother has one and loves it.

i love my goliath but have some trouble shooting my 62" zipper, always use the safety system and experiment with the height of the bar to gain clearance
