Went to Leon Stewarts today to shoot his longbows
« on: November 11, 2010, 06:56:00 PM »
Well,In my Quest for a longbow I took a day off from hunting and took a ride out with the wife to Stewart's archery.I have heard alot about his new slammer special.First off let me tell you Leon is first class, after 5mins it was like I knew him for ever.He took the time to show me the different models he has to offer.

We went outside to shoot a few bows that were close to my wt,I like about 55 @26 I shot a few different arrows from my carbon beaman mfx at 500 grains to a ash heavy wt at over 600 grains. The bow was dead in the hand and it shot with authority. We ck out all the wood options. The bows are a work of art.Now comes the hard part picking the length and wood combo. >>>>----> ED

I just shot one recently....very nice bows, I was impressed. I passed up a used one at a good price and after shooting one I now know I goofed up not buying it!
