Auction--Good distraction for me!
« on: May 28, 2007, 09:04:00 AM »
The St Judes Auction couldn't have come at a better time for me.  My son called me from Anchorage last night.  He and two of his climbing buddies are being flown to MT Foraker (2nd highest mountain in Alaska) to try to climb & ski down it.  They are all expierence climbers/back country skiers/wilderness EMTs from Colorado.

But as a Dad who doesn't like to go up a ladder

and your distraction is gonna cost ya Doc!!  ;)

I had to get off the auction... found myself being deeply touched and a little misty over the whole thing... in a manly way, of course.   ;)

Well now I'm not feeling well. I was doing fine till I saw all that snow. My body went into immediate trembling and my toes went numb. Why do you have to show that kind of torment only days before Charlie and I head into the North country???? You trying to give me nightmares about the cold?  :scared:

Good luck to the son! Oh yea, win that LDB Doc. I want to shoot it again!    CK

Hey, I know this isn't totally a bowhunting topic (except ST Judes will probably get more from me  :)   If it's pulled that's OK.  My wife & I are happy for these young men following their passion but we're still on pins & needles.

I sure do appreciate my friends consoling us though...Thanks  Doc
