game down question
« on: November 16, 2010, 07:14:00 PM »
Ok, You shoot a deer at 4:00. Good hit. Not the best, maybe alittle back but nice "red" blood. Wait a hour and then you start tracking. you have good blood and find the other half of you arrow, the broadhead end. Real nice red blood.you track for about a half a hour and you find a bed with good blood, maybe you even hear the deer up ahead. You stop go home get something to eat. It is now 6:00. Do you go back out tonight or let it wait till morning? It will be in the 30's F
Thanks

If it were me, I would wait until morning then go get him, no sense pushing it if your not sure about shot, if its down now it will still be down in the a.m.  Todd

you shot it at 4:00 and after 2 hours it's still alive? wait until the morning. why push it and possibly lose it. you have a good idea where it is. it's going to be cold tonite so the meat won't spoil.
