Carbon express heritage vs GT traditionals

I need a little help. I shoot wood and GT 5575's. I am thinking about trying the CE heritage as a carbon option and have never shot them. Do they both use the same weights or inserts? I know the CE are heavier than the GT's I shoot and I won't need to do as much to get the desired weight. My GT's are 5575 29.5" bop and have 5" shield cut feathers the standard insert and 35 grains of weight behind the insert and 175 grain heads. Total weight is about 537 grains. The bows I use with this setup are 55 and 57#'s and fly great. I am just curious about the CE heritage because I can pick up another 50 grains just by using the CE. Thanks for your help.

There are heavier inserts, and steel points which will increase the weight, and FOC. Rob DiStefano wrote a good "How To" last year (Nov 2009), and there has been a lot on the subject.

I have a large batch of both shafts I use. My opinion is CE Heritage hands down. Stronger, heavier and to me anyway; more quiet off the bow. I use 250's with 3 gr per inch tubes and 145 points on a 54# @ 30" recurve, they weigh up around 625-635 grains finished. Dont get me wrong, GT's are decent shafts adn I use them in my lighter bows, but they dont hold a candle to CE's. Just my opinions of course.

CE Heritage 150,250 and 350 will use the same nocks and inserts.The closet spine to GT 55/75 are the 250's with a spine of .373,the 55/75 are a .400 spine.They are close in spine you just need to do alittle retuning.CE Heritage are a quality carbon arrow,consistent in spine and weight from my experience.

IMHO, the CE Heritage shafts are MUCH better then the GT's.  I used to shoot the GT's until I made a spine tester and found out how inconsistant they are in spine.  It is terrible!  I always wondered why I would have a few arrows out of a dozen, that just wouldn't shoot good.  I have had different shafts in the same dozen, spine 20#'s different.  I have never had CE's vary more than a pound or two throughout all I have bought.  I do think the GT's look nicer, but that's about it.  CE's are a little heavier and I like that.  As far as toughness goes, both shafts have held up well to the abuses of my shooting.

I agree with the others; the CE Heritage arrows are better hands down, imho.

Better durability, consistency, and weight than the GT's.

CX Heritage, I know some use CE but the  CX Heritage are very good arrows, and the carbons that I use.

I shoot both.  The CX is a great shaft, but the GT trad blems are so low cost.  The CX250 will be stiffer so need more weight up front and or more length.  That just adds even more weight if that is what you are after.  

The insert fit is a little different.  The GT is a little larger than some carbons.  The CX a little smaller.  I use brass inserts and find that they fit a hair loose in the GT, just right in my Beman bow hunters, and real snug in the CX.  But they work fine in all.  I use the Beman/Easton nocks in all my shafts because the are hard to break and can be adjusted by hand for string fit.  The only place I think you could run into trouble would be using a GT aluminum insert in the CX.  I don't think that will fit.

The CE's hands down. I've done quite a bit of experimenting with both. Different weight inserts, head weight, stock inserts, the whole 9 yards. But there's one thing I noticed right away. Behind my target butt sits a block wall and quite often during my past experimenting I would hit that block wall, straight on, sideways, or whatever. The Heritage arrows usually always survive the hit. The GT's would make it through maybe half the time with brass inserts and very rarely with stock inserts. The GT's just crack and fold up most of the time on impact. The Heritage is tough and very consistent and as long as they make em, I'll keep shooting em.

I have experienced some bad spine consistency in the GT.Like most of the guy here I prefere much more the CE,Eritage in my case.
