Thanks Rob, I tore through this sucker in summer school when I found it on the web years ago. All I wanted to do was make the bows and arrows decribed in this writing. Which may explain the summer school part. Good read though...

my dad gave me this little booklet in 1954 - mine was a 1953 reprint of the original 1942 edition.  we lived out on long island, new york, and in the spring '55 we took a short road trip to manorville to visit with l.e. and get a buncha lemonwood staves and cedar shafting.  dad made us some fine longbows and arrows, and he got me started on my life long journey with traditional archery - and bowhunting.  

so here i be, 55 years later, still hooked on stickbows, flinging arrows, making tackle, bowhunting.  still perusing through the electronic version of the eoa.  life is darned good ....
