My Trad Archery club and our indoor range (pics)
« on: November 26, 2010, 05:24:00 AM »
Hi,

I joined a Traditional archery Club a few weeks ago. Its great, nice folks, own 3D course and every thursday evening is training and chatting day. As in the wintertime it gets cold and dark in the evenings we are very glad to have an indoor range.
The best part of our indoor range is: its inside of a pub  :D  ! The owners are memebers too and so we were allowed to convert the bowling alley into a shooting range. We can shoot 15 m maximum but we can eat and drink meanwhile.
Just wanted to show you some pics:

The range:

The Youth trains till 18:00, the adults afterwards; Youth at work:

Adults at work:

Yesterday we made a bit of fun/trick shooting. You had to shoot the arrow into the channel made for returning the bowling-balls and hit the foam-animal at the end:

We made a video of that too, if i will be able to edit and convert it ill post it later.

Cheers!

I am in a pub every Thursday night as well, but we only have dart boards. Yours looks like a lot more fun!

Love it, wish we had a trad only club here with the indoor range.

I would think in your corner of Montana there would be enough gents shooting recurves and longbows to support a trad club. Maybe you could start one up...

Sure like the looks of the one above.

Looks great!  It must be nice to have enough local trad folk to set that up.  Actually I can think of four or five local trad guys, now I just have to find a bowling alley/pub.   :goldtooth:

That is a great looking place! If only it was a little closer to me I would join.

Thanks for sharing it.
