Cresting arrows

I'm attempting my first set of arrows, there for Joe. I made my own cresting machine out of a gear reduced motor  that turns 30rpm. Also i used hobby paint a latex enamel and artist brushes. I feel that they could have turned out better, there not real horrible but not good enough. I wanted thinner lines but even with the thinnest brushes i had they were thicker than i wanted them, i used light pressure but that made no difference. Any tips would be a great help. Thank you.

I would use something that spins a little faster-mabe 200-300 rpm's. Hap

did you thin the paint well it will go on more evenly

I'd second that you need something that spins a bit faster.  Hard to make pinstripes and even lines when the shaft is taking 2 seconds to make one revolution.

Yes i think i will have to breakdown and get a cresting machine or a faster motor. And i will try to thin the paint.
