Lots of the fellers down here gonna ask you what a "touque" is - I'll translate - that's stocking cap for those not in the Great White North, eh!

The only thing I'm not sure of - does it have to have the ball on top to qualify as a REAL touque?

R, lol. I gues folks who don't hunt when it -25 have no idea what a touque is, or just how dang cold your head gets when its that cold outside "eh" ??  :)   Bill

I dont have one, but Columbia makes a great wool "boonie" style hat thats like that outfitter type of camo, and good wool w/a brim. Now the other thing you might have to consider,is that most people on this side of the border might not no what a "touque" is.So you may have to describe it differently. So the kind you are looking for is like a stocking hat in wool?

My wife made mine - Tunis and Jacob's Sheep wool (she spins her own yarn).  Called it a "tuke" (probably make a Frenchman or Voyageur cringe)

Currently 2°F outside & I'll be trundling out in the morning.

Yep, something just like Stumpkiller has on. Whether it's camo or not i don't care. I just want something very warm and comfortable. Bill

Google "macstraditionalshop"

Courtney (bomac) used to be a sponsor here, but I guess didn't renew this last year.

Check your local goodwill, or salvation army stores. I was up in central Ohio visiting my daughter, and got 2, pure wool, a LL bean and a Eddie Baure for $1 each!

Best hat I've come across. As a matter of fact I bought 2 extras before they're gone. It's actually too hot most of the time for walking. I only put it on when sitting.
