Pretty much whatever part of the bow is handy at the time. When walking out of the woods I carry it over my shoulder alot.

I carry mine by the handle. When I was on crutches earlier this year, I got one of those hands-free bow-slings that allows you to carry it across your shoulder or back so I could hobble around my backyard and practice a bit.
