Anyone own or shot one of these bows? What are your impressions?

Thanks,

Rick

Rick,  I've never been a fan of 3pc. bows mostly because they just don't look right to me.  I did try a couple of Jim's 3pc bows at ATAR just for the heck of it though and they balanced and shot very well and were built very solid.  I can't compare them to any other 3pc bows but they're just as smooth and quiet as my 1pc Buffalo bow with a little added mass weight and the convenience of take-down portability.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

Thier excellant IMO.

They do balance out very well when held as Ken stated.Pretty much vertical with a relaxed hand when held and the bow cants slighlty naturally to about 1:00 oclock top limb.7 oclock bottom limb.I shoot with a relaxed grip so I like this balanced feel.

Solid, tough limb with 4  lams of fiberglass and action boo. They are stable shooting no doubt for me.The limb is narrow and deep cored

The risers well sculpted and relatively lightweight at 13 inches long. The riser is narrow from side to side to accomidate the narrow limb butts.I think my riser differs somewhat cosmetically than a few pics I have seen of more recent ones?I got one of the 1st ones he made.Anyway its aesthetically pleasing.

The fit and finish is 1st rate.Everthings flush and flows nice.

I got 2 sets of limbs.64 inches and 62"

I draw 30 inches and do prefer the 64 inchers. The 62s are nice though.

The bows dead in  the hand.I do shoot an 8 strand astroflight and 12 strand 8125 on the bows. Not the stock string.Polar fleece silencers. The 64 inchers very quiet! The 62 is quiet as well. But not quite as quiet.I think the difference is my long draw and limb length difference.

I shoot 600 grain arrows.The limbs are 53#s at 30 and 50# at 30 inches

I had the 2 piece buffalo bow.I sold it to buy the 3 piece.I liked it alot as well!I believe I prefer this for pure shooting qualities overall.

I am very happy with the 3 piece. Its a dead on shooter.

Thanks for the input.  Anyone with pictures.  It is rather difficult to go through all of the pictures on his site to see the three piece bows.  I wish all of the three piece were in one location.

I'm ordering a thunderchild after the new year. They are good looking and well made by the looks of his bows on the web site. Post pics when you get your bow !!!!
