Just get in there, make sure you have holes to shoot from, and room to draw and maneuver your bow. This actually takes some planning as you never quite know where the deer are going to walk by from. When you are super close, drawing without hitting a branch with a limb tip can be really tough, and you might smack a branch upon release. If you can, get brush overhead too, and camo up! Ground hunting will put your heart in your mouth. Just watch.

Really old post I know but I have been searching for additional information. I wish a lot of the photo's were still visible. I guess there is no way to view them all is there?

Here's one of my daughter that got her a close encounter (less than 20 yards with an 8 point and a 3 point buck) two falls ago. The view your looking at is the view they saw and I was sitting in there with her. Pretty simple, just one pine bough zip tied to the tree at the center point and mostly cover behind with stump and logs.
One thing to consider is the nature of the general area. In this spot, there's numerous stumps, blowdowns etc. If you have one ground blind built in the middle of a mature woods and nothing else around like it, you'll probably draw extra scrutiny. Face cover and stillness are keys.

I hope more of you successful ground hunters will add more photos. i would like to get back to hunting on the ground more often. I have tried a few set-ups and some have worked - but with limited success. Thanks for sharing.

I shot my Ks doe from this ground blind. It had burlap wrapped around T-posts, so not "all natural", but it worked great. This was in the middle of a CRP field with not a single tree within 400yds! The blind is just to the left of the wooden post.
And here is the view from inside the blind.
