Need information about Groves Spitfire
« on: December 13, 2010, 06:12:00 PM »
I am thinking about purchasing this Groves Spitfire. It is 60", 55# @ 28".

I know about Harold Groves so I don't need a history, just wondering what people think of the shooting qualities of this model bow. Thanks!

I have a Groves Spitfire Magnum that was built in 1968.  It is 50# 60".  I have only shot it a few times but it seems to be a very fast bow. I like the way it feels and may try to hunt with it a little.  Jim

I've shot Groves bows since the 60's.....way ahead of their time. Too bad Harold died just before carbon in the limbs came on the scene. I wonder what kind of bows he'd be making with it. As you can tell, I have always thought that they were one of the best shooting bows of all time.
The best things in life....aren't things!
