I steamed the handle part of the bow to make sure that the string will be where it should.
The tracking of the string was off by a 1/4 of an inch.
Because there is a lot of wood there I steamed it for 45 minutes.
I'm happy with the results. I spent the next 4 hours refining the limbs, cutting the nocks:
