My new Bama Bow
«

December 25, 2010, 12:21:00 PM »
Here's my new Bama Bow, arrived the day before Christmas eve. I'm very pleased, and plan to get out and shoot it later today.
...and my little family of longbows...Martin ML-14 65#, Big River 57#, and the BamaBow, 58#. All are 68" bows.

That's one of the best looking Bama's I've seen. Nate just keeps the Masterpieces coming! I'm with Mudd, great line-up of sweet bows, but the Bama gets the edge. Of course I am biased since I'm a member of the Bama family too.Congrats on a fine bow!

Beautiful bow! I will always love the look or the Hill-style longbow. To me it is the traditional of the traditional....
Now all you need is a hat like Mudd...

Maybe dumb ? Are these Bows totally straight {Hill Style} or a touch of back set, hows the "thump" much or not ? {dont like to say hand shock} also, do they like Heavy arras ? One more ? anyone shootin theirs with FF string, {bows that are built for it of course} and do ya notice much difference in noise and other negative attributes ?? Thanks Much, Adam

AdamH--My Bama is my first Hill style/straight limb bow and I notice very little "Thump", and even that is lessening the more I shoot it. It feels good to me, like a real bow. Yes, she likes heavy arrows and I shoot a D97 string on mine. I shoot 3 under and she is "Deadly Quiet". Quietest bow I have ever shot. I love it. Mine is a 2pc also.
Mudd--I'm excited to see yours. Yew and Bocote, gonna be a beauty for sure!
Zwickey2bl--That last pic of your bows is really cool. I think I'll add that to my Wallpaper rotation. The Big River looks great. Is that dyed Curly Maple?

Like many good bowyers Nate can build them straight, with some string follow, or a little set back.
His goal is to build the best bows he can and please his customers.
Top notch guy!
