and nothing! except for quiet time    Didn't even see a squirrel, usually I can't get away from them but we do have thunderstorms moving in within the hour

For me here in CT.  late season mornings are uneventfull usually. Afternoon is best but also at last light...   I have sat many times from like 11:00 am till dark with nothing till last 15 min shooting lite...   Late season seperate the men from the boys....   It's still nice being in the woods..  Good luck
