I can totally relate.  With the Heavy snows we've had here in Minnesota, it has been difficult getting out late season.

The last week of the "open season" always has me kicking myself for not getting out and enjoying trad hunting more.

Tomorrow is the last day here. I was gonna go this morning, got up and it was pouring down rain. Look's like it's over for me! Now I'm waiting on turkey season. Happy New Year everybody! Jason

I was kinda glad to put the season away this year, considering how hard I hunted and how little I saw.  Already looking ahead.  Going to try to get out today and use the snow to scout some new trails and stand sites in one of my early season expanded zone hunts.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Last day here in No Mi, I hunted this AM weather in the low 40s, clear and sunny! What a way to start 2011 2 weeks ago we had 14inches of snow and it was cold as hell now it is like March, I wish we had a few more days left, been seeing lots of tree rats as long as the weather holds I can hunt them and stump shoot! Happy New Year to all!

Nope. Im addicted to hogs, open season all year around and no bag limit. Its so bad i havent purchased a deer tag in some 20 odd years, it takes to much time away from chaseing hogs.

When i move out to Arkansas i will most likly give whitetail a try

We here in the Soviet state of NJ have it pretty good as we can hunt deer with winter bow until Feb. but don't forget we pay dearly for that as they want the $ anyway they can get it from us.

wtpops,

Hunting hogs is great as I tried it on my trip to Texas unsuccessfully though, but still a blast. I'm hoping we could do it here in NJ eventually as there are hogs in the Southern parts of the state.

When going thru hard times in life, we have opening day of deer season to look forward to.
