Great pictures. Looks like the bows are more "custom built" than on the old Rural Route One dvd. Are the traditional bows built in Evansvill? After reading Remember Papa Bear,it would be nice to know the rest of the story of Bear archery. I read in Bowhunter mag that Bear was on the brink of bankruptcy a few years back. They sold the museum to Bass Pro Shops. Then they made a comeback with the compound line. they bought whisker biscuit and true glow sights then partnered with Primos. I read that the bows are made in Evansvill.

I am glad to see this, all of us in the trad way need to hope the best for the Bear bows.

With out Fred Bear trad would not be what it is today.

Love it! Brings back memories of drooling over past catalogs wishing away for stuff I couldn't afford on mowing lawns between school years. Then my Mom and Dad said they either would buy me a high school grad ring or that new Bear Bow I'd been wanting. Lets just say I never was into jewelry, still have that old Bear bow I took my first deer with back when it made the paper when someone killed a deer with a bow! I think they are back on track!

Glad to see Bear is taking a new interst in their trad bows again.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Tonight on the Pursuit channel there's a TV show called Factory to Field.  The preview says it's a visit with Bear Archery showing how they make compounds and recurves.  It also says there's a turkey hunt with a recurve.  It's on at 9pm Missouri time.

Thanks for the tip Carlos!
I know where my butt will be parked at 9pm......on the couch with remote in hand.
