I would look at that RER.  The Black Widow PSA 60" iron wood I had was  real smooth and heavy.  The PCH 58" is great out to 30" and the 60" I have is really smooth.  The Tall Tines is another great bow.  Much depens on how heavy a riser you want.

My first choice would be a Big Jims "Thunderchild".I dont have one,yet but have heard nothing but saweet from all whom have shot them .My second would be a Bob Lee dark archer.Tested and true, dead in the hand, shoots were you look, and fast!Good luck.Too many great bows ,too little time.

Shrews do the job for me,  60" SS or a 56" CH. 29 3/4" draw.

You could look at the Dryad Orion with recurve limbs. They're static recurve and I'm shooting their ILF version at 62" and 30.5" and it's very smooth. You could certainly use the 60" version in the bolt down limb on the 15" riser and it would make you a happy camper.  They're on the sponsor list. If you look back in TBM a year or two you'll see Blacky's bow review of this bow (the Orion bolt down recurve limb)in a 58" version. The force draw curve shows a very smooth draw out to 30" and dynamic efficiency of over 84%, which is excellent.  They are great people to deal with and won't suger coat any responses to your questions.

Whup's, I'm going to make one additional note as a missed the heavy riser part. My Dryad doesn't have a beefy riser at all, so unless Dryad can beef up the riser for you, that may not fit your liking. I do feel that you'll really like that limb design with what you're looking for in draw length, bow length and smoothness.  Anyway, I don't want to point anyone in the wrong direction.

I echo the comment on the Cascade Nighthawk. I have a Chekmate Cascade (basically a Cascade Golden Hawk Magnum)that seems smmoth out to 30" for me. It is only 52" AMO but fits my hand very nicely and I shoot it almost as good as my 62" Howatt Hunter.

I shoot a 60" Bruin T/D by Mike Steliga of Antigo, WI. I draw 32" and it is a stack free bow all the way to my anchor. It is also an extremely quiet bow.

The only short bow I have been able to shoot consistently is a Whisperstick kajikastyk. I had a 56" one that I should have kept. Jd builds a sweet bow at a good price. I draw an honest 30"
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

I draw 31" and I just picked up this guy from Bama Bows. The Expedition. Its only the 3rd made and I love it. It is a departure from my 68" longbow but it will make a great travel/hunting bow.
