I love the dark stain and the way it brings out the grain. Awesome job!

Those a pretty sharp looking. By spining them to the pound you have also figured out the true attribute that makes great arrows.

I have seen some really great arrow smiths on this site, some real artisans, a talent that not everyone has.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it really means alot to hear good things.  Especially when I didn't get started in making arrows till just 6 months ago.  I use it to relax in the evening, and my 2 sons (7 and 5) have even gotten involved in the process with me.  It's great family fun in the winter.

As for what stain, I used Minwax Ebony as the dark stain (2 coats), and then for the lighter color, I mixed 3 different stains I had left over from a job, so it's a crap shoot on that one.
