Probably a lot of squirrels and bunnies down in Yankee Springs right?  I know there sure were a lot of them in Allegan St. Game area this fall during deer season!

My grandmother had the best recipe for stewed rabbit.. I have a basic pattern to follow but have never mastered it..
Mission this winter is to master the recipe, which of course means we need to invite brer rabbit to dinner a time or two    :campfire:

I'll be out this weekend with my boys.

How did you get the spiral to stay on?  I have tried, and it comes unravled each time.  I have tried fletch tape, and then even tried duco, but they just keep coming undone.  I even tried super glue on one set, but the white, milky color it turned my finish, I did not like.

When my friend made me some spirals in the 60s he first coated the shaft with glue.  Then glued the feather and clamped it front and rear.  Then added more glue front and rear.

I just recently stripped those arrows and I had to scrape every milimeter of feather off.  They would not come off even if a bomb hit them.

There's plenty of bunnys at my Brother in laws farm near Elm Hall. They usually have a crew get together every weekend.

Thanks all, I'm excited to get out and stretch my legs after sitting for deer so long!      :D     Plus it's a great time to scout where the pressured deer went and hid.      ;)

lpcjon2 and 44Charlie sent me some full length feathers for spirals, thanks guys!            I have some  cedars for kids that were given to me a while back and they would make perfect stumpers.

Nice looking bunny camp Ron! I love bows and bunnies, it's perfect.      :)

Love my spiral flu's $bowhunter$, they fly great and it's awesome to watch them fly away from your bow. Looks like a neon tennis ball, LOL! They have a cool hiss to them in flight.

Grapes- I use fletch wraps, feathers seem to stick to that material easily with Fletch Tite Platinum. Take your full length feather and sand stiff spots. Pre-wrap it around the arrow a few times so the feather takes shape to the shaft.

I'll dab glue where I want to start, then take thread and wrap it around the end of my feather a few times. Leave a tail of thread when you start wrapping so you can tie off when you get the fletch tight to the arrow.

You can glue a little bit of the feather at a time and hold it down as you spiral up. Take your time and let each section dry. Watch a Primal Dreams or something.

I've gotten to the point where I will glue and tie the starting point, then glue the whole feather, wrap it up and tie off the other end.

You really have to make sure your wrap is tight and your end tie off is snug doing it this way.
Trim off the excess when your done. I like to take a razor and bevel the ends of the fletch at a good angle.

They are really fun to shoot! It's hard to loose them unless you happen to be shooting up into a tree and get one stuck.

I have one mounted with a blunt tip and two with RFA Talons.
