I like my "Radar" hat. The brim and fold-down ear protection are knitted. There is a bendable piece of plastic inside the brim. I have the brim bent in slightly on the right side for string clearance.

I've had this hat since around 1986. I did see the same style hat last fall while I was back in Michigan. Should have bought it as a backup, though this one is still in great shape!
