Exciting times - the ILF wars.....

First I see the ad in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine of the Morrison-Sky-Zipper ILF "partnership" now we Dryad-ACS.

Never been a better time to embrace the ILF rigs these fine bowyers have for us. Personally love my SKY TDX 15 riser with Morrison longbow "F" Carbon/Foam limb combination, makes a super sweet 64" longbow.

Only thing I would like to see is a ILF limb that competes with the Tradtech Carbon/Wood limbs in value.

to see more ILF choices. I shoot a Morrison riser
with Sky limbs in one of my ILF's. more choices
from American bowyers sounds great. small bowyers
may be able to provide ILF limbs at a good value
also.

The folks that haven't shot ILF yet are missing out.Smooth adjustable trad bow with zero-15% of the normal hand shock.My Morrison phenolic riser ILF setup is quickly becoming my go to bow.Would love to have Bob build me another riser with a silvertip grip.  :cool:

I just commented on another thread that Neil Jacobson at Bears Paw Bows has entered the ILF arena with his Avian bows.  It really seems to be taking hold.

And somebody said that this wouldn't last...the ILF has been around for a number of years but in the last 2-3 has gotten ectremely popular with the hunting crowd...with so many options out there too!!

I have Tradtech risers, Morrison risers and limbs from both of them. With 2 risers and 3 sets of limbs you have 6 different bows that accomodate a number of uses.

We Have been building our wood ILF for 4 years now.You can get any grip you want. You need to send in the riser you want. I can do it if I have it in hand, I can't read minds about the feel you want.. As far as price, I will not use cheap materials or cut corners just to have a $300 set of limbs. But We can say, Designed and Developed in the USA and built in the USA with mostly USA parts. I'm not sure where the bolts we use come from, and the ILF indents come from who knows where. The woods Cocobolo, Ebonies I'm pretty sure they are IMPORTS.

I don't know that, for me, they will replace my "usual" trad bows but this technology sure lets us "build" what we want with various outcomes.  

There is no doubt about their smoothness and performance.  Why would the Olympic archers, possibly the best shooters in the world, use them....

I also like the "Made in America" concept.  I look forward to watching, yet again, the development of another "new" area in traditional archery.

ILF setups can be just about anything you what. Recurve, Longbow, wood, metal, plastic grip, wood grip. The adjust-ability is great, tiller to what you need, not generic 0 or 3/16" and the poundage adjustment, It is amazing what 2#+- adjustment can do for your accuracy.You will probably find out that your present setup is close to not what it could be...

It will be very interesting to see how the larger bowyers with propriatary limb mounts like Bear, Martin, Hoyt, Bob Lee and Black Widow respond.  I'd hate to see archery go the way of the automobile industry leaving us all shooting essentially the same bows with little further innovation.

We will have wood ILF risers in 13" 15" and 17".We will also be offering the Evolution recurve limbs in ILF.The lengths will be long xlong and xxlong.This way we can make up to a 62" recurve with a 13" riser.
The 13" riser is based of off our SXT riser which is our most popular riser.The 15" will be available as the Extreme riser or our Standard riser.The 17"(which is not going to be done by kzoo) will be based on our extreme riser.
The limbs angles have been modified to be the same weight on each length of riser.If you have a set of Morrison or Sky limbs they will be about 1 pound heavier on my 13"sxt 15"extreme risers.
We are planning to make a limb weight chart to help take some of the confusion out of limb weight and length selection.

We'll be discussing that in July at Denton Bob.I need some easterns put on my new carbon foam curve limbs,just having a tough time putting the bow down.   :D

Besides the look appeal I assume we will see with the new limbs, I'm super curious to why the ACS  will outperfom everything else, how significant will the performance be. I don't chrono my bows because speed is not as important as accuracy to me. I can tell whether a limb/riser combination is on the fast side but I take serious note when I'm shaving feathers off my arrows even more. So far based on the consistency I'm getting out of my Morrison ILF Carbon/Foam limbs vs the assumed perfomance I'm getting out of the TT BM Carbon/Wood limbs, I prefer the Morrison but I can't ignore the price of the TT's either.
