The Midwest Traditional and Primitive Archery Expo is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday event, so there is an opportunity for Iowa Bowhunters to attend during one of the days. Make it a fun weekend!

Hopefully you can get some interested "backers" who can see the growth potential of this event. Might have to bite the bullet the first year or two before you break even or better. Good luck.

Ive ran a business before and I know decisions have to be based on whether it will potentially generate income. That being said I think if anyone is on the fence about this show you have to also consider that this could grow to be a huge annual event like the Kzoo show. Less of a short term investment perhaps but a long term investment that could turn sizeable profits in the future. Putting your products in front of a new audience that may not be familiar with your brand is never a bad thing.

You cant always wait for an event to become big enough to justify your investment, sometimes you have to be the catalyst that helps creates the show that sells your product.  I think Papa Bear may have employed a similar method, create an excitement for a product people didnt know they had to have and cultivate new methods of exposing the public to your line.  In short plan for your future.

I for one am looking forward to this show, I hope it doesnt get canceled.

Tom has done a great job with the magazine when things looked bad at the first. I have no doubt that he will do his part to make this event one of the best as well. The rest is up to all of us Pine Hollow will be there and hope to see you there as well.

If the show goes as planned, my family will be attending. I sent the flyer to the members of the Prairie Traditional Archers in Kansas. Come on everyone, this could be a great event.

Sure hope it works out, I was going to hide out around KC and throw a rope on Yanceys trailer bumper as he went by and let him pull us up to Iowa.  :knothead:

That is our plan.  If we do go to the IBA banquet on Saturday, we will hit the expo on Sunday!  Or maybe do the IBA hang-out on Friday night and expo on Saturday.

This is a great location.

My challenge is the distance to Kzoo, but this location seems nicely located.

I understand the cost/commitment to travel for vendors. I'll be planning a "work Trip" for Friday....

Some Midwest traditional archery clubs inquired about the show and expressed an interest in setting up booths. These groups are certainly encouraged to come and promote their shoots, educatonal programs and other events. The more people attending who share ideas, stories and knowledge about archery the better we all will be. Come join us.
