Zipper Evolution Recurve Limbs ?
« on: January 16, 2011, 12:01:00 AM »
I have a Zipper STX Longbow the limbs are with Carbon and Foam cores and absolutely love them.I'm seriously thinking of getting a set of Evolution Recurve limbs and was wondering how much more would be gained and really how do they shoot.Bills got a lot of options and how much differance is there really.I talked to my buddy Felix (Cacciatore) about it and being an expert on recurves he feels they are the best made.Who else has tried them ? Any pics would be greatly appreciated, thanks ever so much.

Steve, accordingly with Bill, you gonna gain 5fps with carbon/foam over wood cores and othe 3fps with the new acceleratoe wedge that is standard now,but the first generation of Evolution libs hasn't.So immagine what? I ordered a new SXT.

I am no help right now, but I will know something about it in May, when my new Zipper SXT with Carbon Foam Evolution limbs gets here.

I have the "early" Evolution limbs with carbon/foam, and "new" Evolution limbs with bamboo and accelerator wedges, and the "uni-welt" limb stabilizier. I don't know if there is much difference because they are on different risers and I haven't swapped the limbs around to compare. They are definetly faster than the Standard limbs were, and very smooth and quiet.
