Rich, I recently started arrowhead hunting around champlain and have had some luck. there was a tribe they call the slate people. They would use slate for many things but i dont think for any hunting points. I have a bunch of flint/chert if you would like to try making some out of that. That slate head does look neat. John

JP-I've got some fint and obsidian here at the house but being slate is so plentiful in our area I figured I give it a try.They're a lot easier to make too.Thanks for the offer bud.Anytime you want to come down to shoot let me know.
