Thanks "longbowben", now I may have to sell my recurve!!
« on: January 23, 2011, 04:05:00 PM »
Picked up my new-to-me "Moab Thunderstick" yesterday from "Longbow ben" and just got back in from shooting it. all I can say is .....WOW!!!  She is a smoooth shooter!!

I figured my Heritage 250's for my 62# recurve would be too stiff for it's 54#, but they were all I have at the moment...however, by raising the nock point about a 1/4", they were flying dead-on at 15 -20 yds....And up till now, I thought my recurve was quiet....but this MOAB is quiet as.............>>>-------->  Did you hear that??!!  :bigsmyl:

Anyway, I just shot it better than I did my Ancient Spirits 'curve, and I really DID like that bow  :help:    Just had to say----Thanks, Ben!!  :campfire:

Once I made the switch to longbows I never could go back to a recurve.

It's amazing what the longbows made with todays materials can do.

Ben, congratulations on your new stick but, you better hold on to that Ancient Spirits. After going to all Howard Hill bows, I kept one recurve just to have for fun shooting.

You need to come out West for a longbow hunt!   :D

Another archer sucked in and hooked......
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

Ben,

You need to get back out here, so I can call in another Bull Elk for you.
